Descriptive Writing

This week for writing, we have been working on writing a description for this image. We had to focus on our senses. I found it challenging to come up with a description for each sense. Here is what I came up with!



See- I can see People screaming in fear as they go round and round on a roller coaster.

Hear- I can hear the scream of the scared mother as her kid is going on a crazy roller coaster.

Feel- I can feel people pushing past me in excitement trying to get to there favorite ride on time.

Taste- taste fresh popcorn melting in my mouth like at the movies

Smell- I can smell the pink sugary candy floss dissolving in my throat.

in the weekend we went on a motorbike ride in reefton. reefton  hard place to find on a map it is about 40 minutes off the west cost. the motorbike ride is called big river but ther  is no river

This week we did our topic on whitebait. This is some of the information I have found out so far. We  have a pond at Grey Main School and it has whitebait in it.  We take the whitebait that we catch and we take them to breed in the Greymouth river. 

Literacy, Reflection, t2w1,

This is my ANZAC poem for this week, it was fun.   First we had to do a brainstorm of verbs, nouns and adjectives to do with ANZAC day.  We then used these words to write our poem.  This type of poem is called a diamante poem because it is shaped like a diamond.

Top Team Games

This week on Tuesday the top team games came to our school. There was 13 activities and my favourite activity was the gum boot throw. You had to throw the gumboot on the mat and you got a point.

Top team games are in Canterbury and it was really good of them for coming.
